The Junior High Raider wrestlers hosted Ephrata on Wednesday night.
1-14-12
The Raiders headed to Lancaster to compete in the Solanco Mule Classic
Tournament.
Tournament Results for the Raiders were:

This week the team voted for wrestler of the week and it came down to a two
person tie. We had the captains vote and still the vote was tied. We decided to
have a re-vote between the two wrestlers and Ethan Anspach won.

The Raider wrestlers hosted the Cedar Crest Falcons on Wednesday evening. The
match was close but in the end the Raiders came up just short, losing to the
Falcons 54 to 49.
Pinning their opponent for the Raiders were Jeremy Habowski, Wes Bankus and
Ryan Bennetch.
Nick Smith won his match by major decision and Ethan Anspach, in a match where
points were swapped back and forth in the 3rd period, came down to some
discussions at the scorers table with Ethan winning his match by decision (11-10).
The Raiders also received points when Alex Puglio, Austin Eldridge, Cameron
Krow and Shawn Price all goth their hands raised.
1-4-12
The Jr High Raider Wrestlers traveled on Wednesday for a Duals with the Eagles of
Cocalico. The duals went back and forth with some really close matches, but in the
end the Raiders lost to the Eagles 45 - 42.
Winning their matches for the Raiders were Sean Pasquale, Shawn Price and Ryan
Bennetch each pinning their opponents. Austin Eldridge and Nick Smith won by
decision.
Ben Burkhart, Jeremy Habowski and Wes Bankus also contributed to the Raiders
score by having their hands raised in victory.
The swing match for the duals was Kyle Knight's match. He fought hard during the
match and was up in points until his opponent used his singlet to turn him over for
a reversal and some mystery back points.
The Raiders continue to improve and are working hard in practice to correct
problem areas and learn new moves.
Next up for the Raiders is the Cedar Crest Falcons. Keep working Hard Raiders!!

Hopefully everyone had a Merry Christmas and are enjoying the holidays.
On Wednesday 12-28 there will be an optional Junior High practice from 10:00 AM
to 12:00 PM.

The Junior High Raider wrestlers hosted the Northern Lebanon Vikings and at the
end of a very exciting match, the score was tie Raiders 51 and the Vikings 51.
Wes Bankus & Ryan Bennetch, both wrestling up a weight class for the Raiders,
started off the match by pinning their opponents. Wes fought hard throughout his
match and pinned his opponent with just 2 seconds left in the match. Also pinning
for the Raiders were Kane Umbenhauer, Shawn Price and Kyle Knight.
Nick Smth had a tough match and won by way of decision. Cameron Krow, Jeremy
Habowski and Ryan Rolon all provided valuable team points to help the Raiders tie
the Vikings.
Alex Puglio, Austin Eldridge, Andrew Pasquale, Austin Thomas, Ethan Anspach,
Ben Grinev and Chris Johns all fought hard for the raiders and earned valuable mat
time.
Next up for the Raiders is Cocalico on January 4th. Great job and keep up the hard
work!!

The Raider wrestlers headed to Lancaster county and competed in the Buckskin
Breakout Duals. The competition was tough, the Raiders fought hard and the team
ended up with a 7th place finish.

On Tuesday December 13th the Junior High Raider Wrestlers opened their season
with a big win over the Pine Grove Cardinals. The final score was the Raiders 55
and the Cardinals 39.
Leading the way for the Raiders were Shawn Price, Kyle Knight, Austin Thomas
and Ethan Anspach all earning wins by pin. Alex Puglio won his match by major
decision and Chris Johns won in an exciting overtime victory.
Austin Eldridge, Cameron Krow, Jeremy Habowski and Ryan Rolon also provided
valuable points to help secure the win.
Sean Pasquale, Andrew Pasquale, Nick Smith, Jacob Earhart and Ryan Bennetch
all earned valuable experience and mat time as they battled hard for the Raiders.
Way to go Raiders!!!

the away schools to the directions for the matches. I have also provided a link to
the highschoolsports.net link which should have the most up to date schedule.

recent E-Town Optimist
Tournament. Alex plans
